Secondly, The wedding is in 9 weeks y'all! YIKES. Its coming up so soon. Where has the time gone?
In an effort to add some of our personality to the wedding, I'm crafting some of our props we'll be using. The first thing I'm taking on is making all of the bridesmaid's and my bouquet out of paper flowers! I'll post a tutorial in the coming days about how to do this, but here is a general idea of the three types I am making:
Ignore the messy crafting supplies in the background.
I'll be making them from all different shades of purples and different textures and sheen's of paper to make it a little more interesting to the eye. I'm not gonna lie, the small roses are a bitch. I've ripped and wasted more paper making those than anyone could possibly imagine. The carnation like flowers are a breeze. And the other flowers are marginally easy with the exception of getting the stamens in the correct spot.
In addition to making the paper flowers, I'm also going to be making my ring bearers pillow. I was turned on to cross stitching by my dear friend Reba last year and have found it to be my craft calling. Its very relaxing. So, what better way to incorporate that and our theme than to cross stitch a peacock feather! I just started it yesterday, but I've made some pretty good progress:
In reality, the thread is a smoky purple.
With all of this I just hope I can get it done in time.
I think I might be insane, but on top of all of these things I joined a bowling league which starts in February on Sundays in the evening. I'm not much of a bowler but I think it will be a great way to let off a little steam. I just hope the bowling league allows bumpers on, y'all.
Last but not least here are a couple pictures of the men in my life. Adorable I know.
Anytime you say "look" this is what you get. No matter what he's into and what he's doing.
Translation: Sometimes his mouth is full of toilet paper but he just looks so cute I can't get mad.
Meeting of the minds.
